Pastry Shop WiP by Bon-AppetEats Pastry Shop WiP by Bon-AppetEats
I received my package from the UK today! :la:

Inside were my bakery shop furniture pieces, plus the four items on the bottom of the set: 3 candy jars, 6 glass bottles, 2 serving trays with 4 sets of cutlery, and a little gift they sent me - ladies victorian hat and umbrella.

I couldn't resist - I had to stock it with some of my items to see how it'd look. I love it! :D

So now I need to build a room box for this so I have a place to put it all. It'll also serve as my new setting for when I take photographs. c:

It's an online store called Minimum World. If you google it, it'll be the first link that pops up. :)

I bought the furniture (minus the table and chairs) and the bottom 4 pictures from here: [link]

Just remember that if you buy anything, it's in pounds. :P One pound is something like $1.60, or it was the last time I looked.

You should! You can make the shelving easily from wood bought at craft stores. Card stock if you want to go cheaper. :) There are sites with guides for building printable versions of this stuff.

The cutlery on the cafe table is actually 1:24 scale. >.< Didn't read the box properly when I bought them.

I wish work would let me bring my clay in so I could finish stuff up there. lol

Haha lol, I do that all the time. I see something I get so excited about I don't read the fine print  lol.

Haha, I'm lucky in that aspect. I work in my family's business, so if we're quiet I get to sit at the tables out the front and read and sketch :XD:

The thing is...it wasn't marked on the box anywhere. I only noticed because it's half the size of the 1:12 items. >.< Oh well - I'm sure I'll find a use for it!

So lucky. I work for my husband's father, but I couldn't get away with that. :/ I mean, I could draw, but I'm trying to catch up on 2+ years of work the last lady didn't bother to do. >.> I was looking into pixel art since I've always wanted to try it and I have paint on that computer. XD

Well that's silly, it should have been on the box it was packaged in. Cheeky buggers, they just wanted to be loved... :XD:

I understand that, I couldn't imagine trying to cart around all the things you'd need to make them, as opposed to a sketchbook and pencil. My mum and dad don't mind much as long as there are no customers waiting to be served :XD: And that's a great idea! I've never tried pixel art, but it's gotta be more fun than playing computer solitaire :P

It looks fun! And a bit meticulous since you go pixel by pixel - or so it seems from what I've seen. There are some decent tutorials on dA, so if you're curious, just look them up. c: I want to try some next week - kinda excited! XD

Probably a little bit tedious for me, I tend to get a wee bit impatient :P lol. But I may have to if my curiosity gets the better of me. Good luck with it! Are you going to post your experiments? :XD:

I may, depending on what they look like. I can't draw at all, so it'll be interesting. XD
