IHOP Funny Face Pancake Plate by Bon-AppetEats IHOP Funny Face Pancake Plate by Bon-AppetEats
When I was about 6, I remember desperately wanting to order one of these for breakfast. Beg and plead as I might, my mother wouldn't let me order one.

"It's too sugary; you'll feel sick!"

Eventually I must have whittled her resolve down with my whining because she caved in and let me order the damn thing.

Oh, it was beautiful. Tons of whipped cream, sprinkles, chocolate sauce, and maraschino cherry eyes. I loaded the entire thing up with strawberry syrup and proceeded to dig in.

Nearly 20 years later and I still won't touch those. In fact, even making this made my stomach slightly roll. :P

I love IHOP pancakes. I've ordered that kind of pancake too, It's delicious and sweet. Makes you feel sick afterward though. Nowadays, I never go near them

Can I ask you how you made the whipped cream? I'm trying to do the TLS-with-clay thing you did for soft-serve ice cream, but it's so stretchy that when I lift my hands the whipped cream loses its shape.

I just use the tiniest bit of clay softener for whipped cream. Mix half white and half translucent clay with half a drop of the softener, and then add that to the icing tip. You want it soft enough to pipe out easily while being firm enough to stand some light handling.
