Make a pot of stew for the holidays, maybe some mashed potatoes & gravy, or even a candied ham complete with the cloves, pineapples, and maraschino cherries!

A holiday feast is in my plans for the next few months. Probably a recreation of my family's Christmas dinner, which is all Cuban food. :)

Oh, aha, that sounds??? I have never had cuban food, only mexican because I live in a primarily Mexican neighborhood in Cali. What is in a cuban holiday feast?

It is delicious. We usually have roast pork, spare ribs, and grilled chicken (too many picky eaters >.>). Sides are usually tostones, boiled yuca, black beans and rice, and cuban bread. Plus tons and tons of mojo, since everyone pretty much drowns their plates in it. :P

AHAH...SOUNDS DELICIOUS!...I have the traditional white people variety of food: Roast, Roast turkey, Ham, Candied Ham, Mashed Potatoes, Green beans, the occasional corn, stuffing, Waldorf salad, candied yams. It's all pretty delicious, and if I get over to my dads family we have some tamales because my grandma was born in mexico, and makes some fabulous tamales!

That sounds like what we have Christmas day at my parent's house. It's nice to get a mix of both foods. :)

The only thing I can eat here is the asparagus, but it all looks incredibly yummy!

As a silly thought, when you make these breads and such, why not save some of the 'dough' flakes? You could sprinkle some nearby to make the cracker or roll look like it crumbed a bit. Great for photos. :S

Thanks!

I usually don't have any of the bread colored clay left over for small items like this. I try to cut down on the waste since clay is a little pricey. For miniature scenes, it'd be a great idea though. :)
