Request made by my husband for his father for Father's Day: a very French cheese board.

Clockwise from the very top left: Pâté en Croûte, Foie Gras, Brie, Blue Cheese, French Baguette (cut in half), and Saucisson. Garnished with a pile of big green grapes for color.
My first board and I'm happy with it. Plus now I can try making prep boards since I have well over 3' of balsa wood left over.

ACK. The grapes. And the sausage-looking stuff. And as a whole it looks awesome anyway.

The dried sausage is absolutely delicious, as is the pate (if it doesn't have liver in it, yuck).
Yeah, it looks kind of like salami. I'm not much a fan of pate though just because it usually has either chicken or goose liver in, or at least the ones I've seen have. And I read a bad article about goose liver so I tend to avoid it. D:
