1:12 Tea sandwiches on a glass server. Sandwiches made from polymer clay.

This was another piece I made for the Lakeland show. There are cucumber sandwiches on top and tomato and radish sandwiches on the bottom.

Never had one of these before. How do they taste?

I've only ever had a cucumber one. It tasted like cucumber on a piece of bread, so it wasn't that appealing. I'm sure there are better ones out there.

Hopefully! I almost had one once, but I was too scared to eat it, so I gave it to my friend.

Where did you learn to do all of this?

A lot (and I mean a lot) of time spent practicing. Probably 2-5 hours a day for over a year. Once you get the basics down, you can pretty much do anything. :)

Don't quite get the cucumber part...

But the tomato and radish are brilliant :XD: Can you show us how you make the tomato and radish canes?

They're just little pealed cucumber slices between bread. Should have picked something a little fancier looking. :)

If you search tomato cane tutorial on here, that's how I made the tomato. The radish is just translucent +white clay rolled out and colored with chalk pastels.

Don't peal your cucumbers! There's lot's of good stuff in the skin... and looks better on sculptures ;]

They were referenced off a picture I found online, so I guess "fancy" means they peel theirs and cut them into tiny rings. :P
