1:12 Sangria Set by Bon-AppetEats 1:12 Sangria Set by Bon-AppetEats
1:12 Sangria set. Sangria made with resin, assorted fruits (cherries, pear, pineapple, grapes, lemon, and oranges) made from polymer clay.

One of my favorite drinks from all of the ones I've made recently. :) I really like the color and how the fruits look in the resin.

I hope you don't mind me asking, but what do you use to change the color of resin?

I used some resin dye for this set. I've found that soft chalk pastel works really well for coloring resin, as long as you make it a fine powder first and thoroughly mix it in. :)

It's resin with some sort of special resin dye in it (which looks a lot like plain old food coloring, only more expensive lol).

Now if only we could make small human dolls and we'd have ourselves a handmade playset.

I agree that this should be at the top of your drinks list. I also agree with the Pimms lady. Great drink, only mildly alcoholic if made right and totally refreshing.

As soon as I order another pitcher set, I'll be making the Pimms drink. I really like all the different fruits and textures it has.

Np :tighthug: And Pimms is a spirit in britain, its pretty fruity and tasty and you make it in a pitcher with lemonade and slices of cucumber, sliced strawberries, mint leaves, lemon wedges, and ice :D Its pretty delicious :D

I love this one, but I have to ask  from the others.. why the quarter?
Reply
:iconbon-appeteats:
Bon-AppetEats Featured By Owner Jul 21, 2013  Professional Artisan Crafter
The quarter is just there to show scale. :) Miniaturists usually use coins, rulers, or their hands to show the scale of their work. Even dolls at times. I usually use a dime but I think someone took it. :P lol

Not sure if they still do this, but a while ago they used to sell novelty change in Las Vegas. One of them was a quarter that was bout 5 or 6 inches across. Wish I would have picked one up. :P
