I think you all can guess what holiday I'm working on next. :P lol

1:12 scale candy canes, peppermint sticks, and peppermints.

Just wanted to practice getting the color and pattern right. I think it was a success. c:

Thank you. :) They were made using canes, so once I had them stretched to the size I needed them, it was all a matter of just cutting and shaping them the way I wanted.

How long does it take to make a single peppermint candy cane??

:iconbon-appeteats:
Bon-AppetEats Featured By Owner Nov 4, 2012  Professional Artisan Crafter
Not too long once I get them down to size, but it's a cane and it takes me a little while to make those since I'm bad at canes. >.<

What's the easiest miniature to make??
How 'bout the hardest miniature you've ever made?

Easiest? Chocolate chip cookies or plain sugar cookies. Hardest? The asparagus cake I made that took almost 7 hours to finish.

In those jars? No. I have other cork topped bottle jars I could use though. Just note me about it. :)

Ahh I know! That's exactly what I love, my dream too :D Glass jars filled with old fashioned sweets in the kitchen and filled with stuff like lace or sewing bobbins for in the sewing room :D absolutely pointless in most cases, but sooo cute  :p

ya know... they should actually make candy this size. It's not very filling, but just for the sake of having tiny candy lol

Peppermint oil or extract, if you're up for buying a bottle just for a drop. I suspect an artisinal candymaker could craft some canes at that size using actual candy—it just needs a good stretch.

The oils they use in candles should work, and I think my local craft store has them. :)

I'm sure they could! I've never been a fan of working with sugar so I won't be trying it. XD
