1:12 Fruit Bowl by Bon-AppetEats 1:12 Fruit Bowl by Bon-AppetEats
1:12 Fruit Bowl. Fruits made from polymer clay, bowl purchased online.

Two uploads in one day? Yep! I'm trying to get pictures of stuff and get them posted before they all get packed away.

There are some issues with this one, but overall I do like the look. It looks better in person than in the photograph. Wish I had bought one more bowl to make another. :c

Have you ever sculpted a peeled banana? That would be very cool and cute!

The leaves on the strawberries look very plastic-y and a little too light. Maybe try using a paint with a matte finish? Also, the shape of the leaves is too straight, if they were wider at the base it would look a little more realistic. Please do not take that as an insult at all, and I know how hard it is to get something so tiny to work with you. I only said what I did because you seem like someone who wants to better yourself, and I was only trying to give constructive criticism :) You do amazing work, and I always enjoy drooling over your uncanny food replicas, when I first stumbled across your photos I had to double take about a half dozen times before I saw a photo with a coin in it :D I hope my comment helps you with future work :) Once again please don't take offence to it, I love your work and think you're extremely talented :D

Constructive criticism is always welcomed! Sometimes I get so stuck looking at things one way over and over again that it's nice to have a different view from someone else. I actually have begun to looking into making the leaves on top out of paper. I have a new batch of strawberries waiting to be finished until I find paper that I like enough to use.

Thank you! :)

I don't really have a favorite brand. If it's not super soft, I like it. Just clean your hands and your workspace often and they clay will stay relatively clean.

Thank you!
