1:12 scale carrots.

I wanted to start using some of the miniature items I bought this weekend in my photographs. c: Plus I need to practice my vegetables.

For a first attempt, I'm very happy with these.

Cool! Seems they have a lot of uses. I've seen people make mini cake stands with them, too. :)

I think the general shape of the carrots should be a bit more irregular, but nice job anyway! These are adorable~! >w<

I agree. There's one with a second tiny carrot growing from it, but I didn't get it this time. :)

Knife is from a project I made a while ago. :P I accidentally snapped the bottom off that carrot and had to think on my feet since I didn't want to throw it away. lol

Oh I love this! That tiny bag is neat, did it come from a miniature store? Also this may be a silly question, but I am curious for some reason...did you cut the carrot with the tiny knife? :P For all I know that may not even be possible :/

Thanks! The tiny bad did indeed come from a miniature store. :) And no, the knife didn't cut the carrot; it's made of clay and too fragile and dull to cut anything. c:

I like them. Have you thought about cutting a small piece of sheet metal for your knife? That's what I do for knives or spatulas. The little metal part on old floppy discs works really well too if you happen to have any lying around.

That is a great idea! I think I have some old floppies around that I'll experiment on. C:

I did that several times before I ran out. Then I discovered sheet metal is really cheap in rolls at the hardware store in the roofing aisle. Glad to help! You'll want to use metal cutters or wire cutters on the floppies. On the sheet metal, it's a bit thicker so I cut it with a utility knife. Good luck to you! I look forward to see your experimentation.

You should make a knife cookie cutter. Just in case you have a mini dinner party.

I actually ordered some metal cutlery offline for about 5 dinner sets. :) Won't have to worry about making a bunch of knives if I ever want to take a photograph of a mini dinner. XD

The carrots look great! ^_^ I would say if you wanted to improve them to practice on stems =) did you make the tiny bag or buy it? Other than these miniatures I can't think of any reason for a tiny bag like that o.o

The stems I made started breaking apart when I was trying to attach them. >.< I need to think of a better way to do them.

I bought a few bags like that so I could use them as props. :)
