Ah Christmas...I have a fond memory about having a holiday cookie exchange for Girl Scouts. Most of them were store bought or pre-made ones you just tossed in the oven but a few were home made and damn did it make a difference. It's funny too because they said it was a "holiday" party/cookie exchange but it had a Christmas tree and almost all the cookies were Christmas ones. I think me and my mom were the only ones who didn't make Christmas ones. We made sugar cookies and used Jewish cookie cutouts and iced them with silver and blue lol.
Being the only Jewish girl in GS...I guess they had to make it a "holiday" party. But since my mom never had Christmas growing up she let me have Christmas and Hanukkah. It was pretty epic...2x the gifts!
I, too, have tended to notice any holiday parties were more heavily Christmas based. I'd usually bring cookies that were decorated normally. Or bread because everyone likes bread. lol
Well to be Jewish and celebrate Christmas is...unusual but to do Christmas and Kwanzaa is more normal. At least that's what I'v heard...or you can just do all three if you have a multicultural family.
I think the reason holiday parties are based on Christmas is because that's the biggest holiday.
Cute, like always!
I love candy apples.
My aunt makes them for thanksgiving and easter. ;w;
Like a photo or a piece of real food?
