1:12 Cake and Pastry Stands by Bon-AppetEats 1:12 Cake and Pastry Stands by Bon-AppetEats
Here are the cake stands I promised! Plus a pastry serving tray since I had the parts to make it. c:

I think they're 1:12 scale, if not just a hair under. They were made by scavenging the clearance section at Michael's.

I was thinking of possibly selling some on my website. Would anyone be interested?

These are between $12-$15. Haven't put them up on my Etsy yet since they're going to a miniature show first. :)

Just by rummaging around the clearance section at Michael's and keeping an open mind. :) It's amazing what you can make by pulling apart stuff.

Industrial strength glue and rubber stoppers plus glue for the pastry stand so it won't collapse. :)

Thank you so much for answering. :) Sorry to ask so many questions, I'm still learning in my spare time. The beautiful displays that you make compliment your work so much. Everything looks like its from a magazine. :)

Quite lovely! I'm rather fond of the lowest plate for its simplicity, though the single middle one's web-like feature definitely catches my eye as I'm a fan of most things spiders.^^

The 3-tiered one is impressive as art on its own. As a baking display piece irl I think might steal the scene from the food items. (And be a bugger to clean/polish irl...) The only thing that I feel detracts from it is the eye-catching hole for wire or string. However, I can't see the other side, so if it mirrors then I think it wouldn't look too unbalanced.

Also, nice touch with the cursive background. Gives the already elegant silverware a much more delicate and refined feel.^^

Thank you. c:

I just noticed those when you mentioned it! For whatever reason, I had it stuck in my head that one was oblong shaped - it never registered the bits on the end could be removed. >.< I clipped them off and it looks much better now. Plus I can make a larger cake stand with the remaining ones I have left now. :D
